Living in a big city has brought us a lot of advantages; however, it has some disadvantages. Firstly, the cost-of-living is typically higher in big cities, and it can cost you an arm and a leg for a small apartment in a decent area of the city. Secondly, although diversity is a good thing, the number of people can be a bit overwhelming if you are not accustomed to it. There will always be crowds and always be people around. Thirdly, traffic can be a nightmare in the big city. It can get so bad that it can turn you into an evil person. Finally, pollution is a sad reality for big city life and one of the biggest disadvantages. It would always sadden me when I would drive into the city for work in the morning in the summer time and see huge cloud of smog hovering over the downtown skyline.
